Fall at last

The summer has been so hot that we haven't been able to play outside much. Now "fall" is here. Fall in Fort Myers means mid 70's in the morning and high 80's in the afternoon. After living in Fort Myers for almost two years I have begun to adjust to the heat. Now when the weather is in the 60's or 70's I feel chilly. Crazy I know. When I first moved here I was hot all the time. I would see these "crazy Floridians" wearing long sleeves in what I considered hot weather. I think I am becoming "one of them". Miles is so happy to have some cooler weather and to be able play outside again! The down side of fall is all the sickness that comes with the weather changes. Both our children have been sick for over a week. This is my second Sunday having to stay at home. Miles is better for the most part, but Gavin has a yucky nose!! Anyhow, I have found that on Sunday's most people are not in church, but at home washing their cars. I grew up in church and rarely miss on Sunday. Today I took the kids on a walk only to discover how many people are at home! I hope and pray our churches can find a way to reach all of theses people!

Now that Gavin can sit up so well he can go on wagon rides with his big brother.

Gavin favorite time of the day is meal time!

Figuring it all out!

At night I like to read with Miles and say his prayers in his bed before he goes to sleep. Tonight after we finished praying he said where is Jesus? I said Jesus is everywhere. I was about to go on and he said in my heart. Yes, in your heart. Precious times! Then Miles said Jesus has a gotee everywhere. First of all, Gerald taught Miles the word gotee. Second of all, I am assuming Miles saw a picture of Jesus at church that made him visualize Jesus this way.

Day at the park and the beach

I love my pacifier and my daddy, of course!

Gavin loves to swing. He swings inside all the time.

Gavin is watching Miles play in the water park. He can't wait to join him!

Watch me go, Gavin. Where does he get all that energy?

Miles is getting to be such a big boy! He is exploring and becoming a lot more adventurous!
