Summer Fun

We had to go to Tampa to pick up our van so we took the boys to the Florida Aquarium. We made it home safely!! I'm glad to be home and to know we don't have to do any driving for a while. We were suppose to be going to GA tomorrow, but after all our mishaps we've decided to stay home. Miles had his first sleepover this past week. The boys did great. I anticipated having to tell the boys multiple times to be quiet when it was time for bed. They never made a sound when the lights went out. I guess they were just so excited that they wore themselves out. I can't believe Miles is old enough to have a sleep over.

Miles continues to say funny things. We got home from church last night and he said two kids from church wanted to come over and play with him, but he handled that. I said what do you mean you handled that. He said I told them only one friend at a time. Yesterday Miles was asking me a million questions. This is really not unusual behavior for him. Anyhow, I asked him why he was asking me so many questions. He replied mom everyone is different. God made me different just the way I am. I trying to teach him the differences between people with handicaps and what not. Somehow, he turns my teaching lessons around. How do they get so smart at 3?

Puzzle time. All the boys were working on puzzles and Gavin is proud. Can you tell??

Miles first sleepover with his friend Drew.

Gavin enjoyed looking at fish, but it was his nap time so we couldn't really get him to cooperate with picture taking.

We tried to get both boys in here to take a picture, but Gavin won't sit still!!

We made it!!

We spent the past week at McGregor's Children's Camp. Let's just same I'm glad we're home. The camp, in and of itself, was fun. The things that happened surrounding the camp, not so fun. I will begin by saying we got a blow out on I-75 going about 70mph or so. Gerald handled the van so well and got us safely off the road. Then the fun began. It took about an hour or more to get the tire changed. It was blazing hot and I had the boys on the side of the road. About ten police cars drove by and nobody stopped. A tow truck stopped and helped Gerald get the spare off. Apparently someone thought it was a good idea to put spare tires under cars. Anyhow, the blow out tore up our bumper and the panel behind the tire. Luckily our insurance covers the ordeal minus our deductible. Well, we made it to the rental place and we got a rental car for the week. Then the next day the rental car had a flat. I'm not joking. At this point you just have to laugh or else you'll say or doing something you shouldn't! So, we got that changed and got another rental car. We made it safely through the rest of the week. As we were packing our car to leave camp Gavin fell out of his stroller and bit his tongue. Blood was just gushing out of his mouth. I didn't know if he had broken a tooth or what. We had a nurse on campus and she checked him out. Even though it was traumatic for him they don't do anything for the tongue and it heals quickly so the poor little guy. I just gave him some Tylenol and we were on our way. Needless to say, we're glad to be home.

Besides all the drama of the week, it was a good week. Gavin added Amen to his vocabulary. Miles loved being at camp and seeing his Daddy sing. Gavin and Miles are increasingly becoming better playmates. You will see from some of the photos below. It is so much fun. I pray they will be close as they grow up.

The boys napped together at camp. I couldn't resist taking this picture even though I was afraid I was going to wake the boys up.

Playing with Daddy.

Gavin is playing in the cabinets! I often call him my little rascal because he is into everything.

The boys were taking turns pushing each other on the truck. Love these moments!!

Trip to GA

Wow two updates in one week. Don't get to use to it!! As promised here are the photos from our trip home. We spent the week with my mom and my sister flew in for a few days as well. Miles loves going to my mom's. We went to a Wild Animal Safari Park at Pine Mountain. If you get the chance check it out. It was a lot of fun. We rode on a bus that took us around to feed the animals. The kids loved it. I was able to spend a lot of time with some close friends which is always such a blessing. We leave Monday for Tampa.

Peek a boo. These next few photos are down by the lake at my mom's house.
Miles and Gavin are playing together a lot more these days. Gavin's also learning how to annoy Miles. I guess that is just part of being brothers.
The annoyance really works both ways. Miles can dish it out as well.

Kimberly and I got to hang out while the kids played. We miss the Hartzog Family!!
Miles and Ethan playing together at the Hartzog's.

Do it again and again!
What is that? I love how everything is so new and exciting.

Taking it all in.

Home............for now

We just got back from being out of town for two weeks. We leave again in a week to go to Tampa. We will come back for a week then we will head to GA again. Another crazy and fun summer. Gerald had a camp in Panama City, FL two weeks ago. We went with him and my mom came with us to help me with the kids. We had a lot of fun. We love going to do this camp each year. The youth pastor and his wife are two of our favorite people. We only get to see them about twice a year so we always look forward to time with them. Gavin said four new words while we were gone. He is a busy little guy. You will see from the photos below a little about our trip. Miles is always cracking us up with the things he says. Recently he has decided that he likes to be called pastor. He says his name is Miles Pastor Jackson Malloy. He says he wants to be a pastor when he grows up. A pastor that plays the guitar and drums that is. I will update our trip to GA in a few days. I had to many photos to share at once.

This is one tired and grumpy boy. We were at this cheesy place in Panama City called Gulf World.
This is Miles after mom got him to smile. I could have just put this one up, but this wasn't really how our day was going!
We don't get to spend as much time with my mom as I would like and Gavin has been going through a clingy stage with me prior to our trip. I wasn't sure how he would be with my mom, but he bonded with her immediately. In fact, by the end of our trip he was preferring her over me!
I added this photo because I couldn't resist the "happy couple" in the background. Too funny!!

Gavin is buried in the sand and not bothered a bit by it!!
